HAS CHRIST TRULY SAVED

YOU?

" Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?
2 Corinthians 13:5
‘There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.”

Proverbs 14:12
Dear friend, Do you claim to be saved? If so, what do you base that on?

Is your salvation based on the Bible or something else?

When most people are asked the question, “ If you died today, where would you go?”,

They answer that they would go to heaven.

Almost everyone has a profession of salvation.

However, Matthew 7:13-23  tells us, “
13 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.

14 For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
15 “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

16 You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?

17 So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.

18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.

19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

20 So then, you will know them by their fruits.

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’

23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’

Where did they go wrong?
How could they have been so deceived?
Examine your salvation profession in the light of the Bible. Are you one of the “many” on Judgment Day who will go to hell calling JESUS LORD. Do you have a false salvation experience that will send you to an eternity of torment?

Professing is not possessing.

CAN YOU REMEMBER A PLACE AND A TIME WHEN YOU HEARD THE WORD OF GOD PREACHED AND THE HOLY SPIRIT PRICKED YOUR HEART AND DREW YOU TO SALVATION?

"No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him;

and I will raise him up on the last day". John 6:44
Man with his totally depraved nature does not have the ability to seek GOD.

He is spiritually dead. GOD must first move him. A person can not be saved without the HOLY SPIRIT convicting them. If GOD is not drawing them, they can pray but it will not be heard by GOD.

" If I regard wickedness in my heart, The Lord will not hear from me"

Psalm 66:18

A man can not be saved just anytime he wants.

GOD decides when and where to convict a lost sinner.

In Romans 10:14,17 we read, “How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?"

17 " So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ."

And 1 Corinthians 1:21 says,

"For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe."

There is no salvation apart from BIBLE preaching. The preaching of the gospel is the tool GOD uses to convict man of his sinful state to show him his need of salvation.

To be saved, you must hear the preaching of the Word of GOD in some form. After hearing Peter preach on the Day of Pentecost, we read in Acts 2:37 that the people said, “Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do?”

Do you remember being pricked in the heart by the Word of GOD? Do you remember GOD drawing you? Or were you merely lead in a “1-2-3, repeat- after- me” prayer because you were scared about going to hell?
DO YOU REALIZE THAT YOU HAVE SINNED
AGAINST A HOLY GOD, BROKEN HIS
COMMANDMENTS, AND WILL BE CONDEMNED?

“But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, and not sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Matthew 9:13
Romans 3:10 tells us that there in none righteous. Romans 3:23 tells us that all have sinned; however, not everyone realizes that they are lost sinners. A person must be lost before they can be saved. A person who sees himself as morally good will never see his need for salvation.

You have to realize your sinful state before GOD.

DO YOU REALIZE YOUR GOOD WORKS CAN NOT SAVE YOU?

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,  Titus3:5
No matter how hard we may try through religion, baptism, clean living, or church membership, our good works cannot and will not merit salvation. Only being washed in the blood of JESUS CHRIST will save you.

HIS righteousness is the ONLY righteousness that will satisfy the demands of the gospel. If you are trusting in anything or anyone other than the LORD JESUS CHRIST alone for salvation, then you will be greatly surprised when you lift up your eyes in Hell!!!
Therefore they said to Him, “What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?”  Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”
John 6:28-29

ARE YOU REPENTING OF YOUR SIN?

In Luke 13:3-5  I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Or do you suppose that those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them were worse culprits than all the men who live in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”

Acts 17:30 Here we have the most neglected piece of the gospel message in the world today. Repentance is routinely left out of many “plans of salvation.” The Bible clearly teaches that repentance is to be preached. “And they went out, and preached that men should repent.” Mark 6:12

"And that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. Luke 24:47

"How I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you publicly and from house to house, 21 solemnly testifying to both Jews and Greeks of repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 20:20-21

Repentance is an inward change of heart that produces an outward change of action. It is turning from a life of sin to God. It can also be defined as a godly sorrow about your sin that produces hatred of that sin.

Several good definitions of repentance are found in the Bible.

" Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon." Isaiah 55:6-7
"He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, But he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion." Proverbs 28:13
Repentance is required for salvation. Any sinner who is not willing to repent is not willing to be saved. Habitual practice of sin is evidence that a person is not genuinely sorry for his sin.
Do you realize how abominable your sins are in the sight of God?

Do you see your sin as God sees it?

Are you willing to submit to the authority of God and His Word?

DO YOU BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST ALONE FOR SALVATION?

"He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”  John 3:36

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life." John 6:47
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under the heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
Jesus said that He is  THE way, THE truth, and THE life. You must rest totally upon Him and Him alone. It is not enough to merely believe ABOUT Him.

Even the devil believes about Him. A head knowledge without a heart knowledge is worthless. You must receive Him as both Lord and Saviour.

"Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and [a]Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified.”  Acts 2:36

Are you trusting upon Christ alone for salvation?

Or have you mingled some form of your own works (baptism, sacraments, church membership, giving to the poor, being a good person, etc.) to His finished work on Calvary?

Do you believe Him to be the sovereign God of the Universe who controls everything? Have you been washed in His blood?

HAS THERE BEEN A CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 2 Corinthians 5:17

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, Titus 2:11-12

"The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him" I John 2:4

A salvation that saves a person changes a person.

A person who never shows any evidence of change in their life should not believe that he is saved.

Faith alone saves, but the faith that saves is never alone.

Saving faith WILL produce works. James 2:17 says, “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” And in James 2:20 we read, “But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless?

John 14:23 says, “Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.

Have you been living a lie?

Is there evidence of salvation in your life? Or is your life characterized by

Titus 1:16, “They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.
Well friend, After reading this pamphlet,

God may never deal with you about your salvation again.

Your eternity is hanging in the balance...

You can not afford to be wrong about this great Salvation.
Will you call on the Name of the LORD to show
