our ministries
We equip inmates with the spiritual tools they need to live a life of freedom, even while incarcerated.
We bring the church to homebound believers through weekly preaching and hymn singing.
We are committed to helping the homeless population and others who live on the margins in our community.
We go to those in the streets, bringing the Word and proclaiming the Gospel every step of the way.
our founder
Meet rev. Wesley Stephens
A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Wesley planted roots with his wife, Karen, in Dillsboro, NC. He has been dedicated to serving the WNC region for many years. He serves as an Elder and Outreach Pastor at Barberville Baptist Church in Waynesville, NC.
From weekly worship services at the local nursing home, to Bible studies at local jails and prisons, he brings the Gospel wherever the Lord takes him.
Prisoner Testimonials
hear from those we serve
The power of God's Word is evident in the lives we see transformed. Our ministry is not about us; it's about what the Lord is doing in the hearts of those we reach. Here are a few stories from men who have been part of our prison programs.

The Enduring Impact of Ministry in WNC
We serve people through our prison ministry in correctional facilities throughout Western North Carolina. This means we're regularly on the road, bringing Bibles and biblical teaching directly to those who need it most. We operate with strict accountability to our sending church and to our donors, ensuring that every dollar and every hour is spent advancing the Gospel.
When you support Word of Grace Ministry, you're investing in local spiritual growth. This is how we live out the Gospel in our community. We believe in the power of a changed life, and every testimony we share points back to the grace of God that makes it all possible. Join us as we serve WNC for the glory of our Lord and Savior.
